Today’s image is a close-up of a common brimstone (Gonepteryx rhamni). The common brimstone hibernates as a fully formed butterfly and is therefore one of the first butterflies to appear in the spring. This image is composed of more than 200 photos. Below is a video made with Helicon Focus 7 to help get a 3D perspective. At the bottom are two stereo images, the first is a cross-eyed image that is made for use without stereo glasses. The second stereo image is for watching with stereo glasses. The stereo images are made in Zerene Stacker. The gear I used, Canon 6D camera, Nikon Optiphot microscope, Mitutoyo M plan apo 5x lens, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, Topaz DeNoise AI.
